Odin learned to play!!! Sort of...

The past couple mornings I noticed Odin following me in to the kitchen like Ella and Goose always do. I decided to give fatty fat Goose some exercise, so I got out his bird toy. The first few times we tried playing with this to with Odin he quickly realized it was being held by a human and lost interest. Completely.

However, yesterday morning it caught his interest. I didn't have my phone on hand, but this morning I did!!!! The pictures are real crappy since there was hardly any light, but there's enough to see him play!!!

First, he stalked his prey...

Then he went in for a closer look...

Then he got tired, so he laid down

Then he got excited!!!

And then he laid down again...

So Goose showed him how to do it...

Then he attacked!!!!

He caught his prey and marched off with it triumphantly!

My mom's first words to me after breast cancer surgery

Were raspy from dehydration and having a breathing tube down her throat. She sounded like one of the sisters from the Simpsons when she spoke.

As she was pointing to her newly implanted D cup breasts, she asked me "Are you jealous?"

I was about 13 and I'm pretty sure my cup size was in the negatives, but these words eased any worry I had about her having the surgery in the first place. Now that she was mocking me, I knew she was fine.

This was my first recollection of many, many encounters with cancer within my family and it was the best outcome I could ever hope for.

This is how it went...

That's Grant's and my super excited face. I know, he doesn't look too excited. But, you can see his teeth, which means he was stoked!

We made sure to hit the key rides. First order of business, Hollywood Tower of Terror!!!!!!! Then we made it to the Toy Story ride in California Adventure.

We then went straight to Disneyland to hop on the Haunted Mansion! The only ride we didn't end up making it to was the Matterhorn, but it can wait til next time!

We made sure to get all the "video game" rides too! Yeah...I know. I lost. But, it's a video game that's not Dr. Mario, so I didn't expect much!

We even made sure to make it to the Lego store!

Grant ate a lot of Mickey ears.

And gave me his angry face when I wanted to take a photo with some aliens instead of looking at some silly Star Wars Disneyland memorabilia.

He also showed off his gigantic muscles for me!!!!

Our trip was awesome! And I think Grant had a great time for his first time ever at Disneyland!

Freaking Disneyland!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow will be Grant's first time at Disneyland. Ever. In his life. He's even lived in California his whole life. I know, it's devastating that this will be the first time. However, it will be amazing.

This might be the first you're hearing of Grant, or G$ as I like to call him...so let me introduce you:

Meet Grant. Don't worry, although I know that cat-ritto looks delicious, he's a vegetarian. So they made him a tofu shaped cat-ritto instead.

Meet Ella

We got her 2 1/2 weeks ago. My roommate rescued her while he was in Stockton. Her and her brother were running free on the busiest street in town. Her brother didn't make it, but I was lucky enough to have an awesome roomie that knew she'd be well cared for if he brought her home.

She's my dream pup. Very lazy and LOVES to be around people. She's also not afraid of other animals. I couldn't have chosen a better dog. I guess that's why she had to chose me.

So this is little Ella Fitzgerald. And she's awesome.
